Then for the bib mark up 4” from the fold and 8” across, use a ruler to make from point to point and cut.

Pocket & Strap – Cut
1/2 meter of fabric
You can either use the same colour fabric or use a contrasting colour.
1 piece 10” wide x 6” high (pocket)
4 Strips 2 1/2” x 20” or longer if needed.  Alternatively you could use cotton webbing (1” wide).

In the following instructions I have made a pattern to cut out the piece, you can just measure the fabric and cut without a pattern.

Bib: Measure and cut out bib:

Straps: Measure and cut 4 strips of fabric, 2 1/2” x 30” or longer if needed

Pocket: Measure and cut out 1 piece, 17” wide x 8” high (pocket). You can make this bigger is needed.

To Make Up:

Straps:
Sew the 4 strips of together on the short side, press out seams.  Then press along both edges press down approximately 1/4″ and on each end.

Press in half and sew along short edge stopping just 1 stitch before end, with needle down, pivot and continue sewing long edge again stopping 1 stitch before edge and with needle down, pivot and sew other short edge.

Leave to one side.

Pocket:
With right side down press bottom edge approximately 1/4″ then turn it up again and press, do this also along side edges of pocket. Pin edges in place for later.

For the top of the pocket we are going to make it deeper, first fold over approximately 1/4″ and the fold over approximately 3/4″ and press. Then sew top, I sew 2 rows of stitching as I think it looks nice, you can do one row if you prefer.

Put pocket aside for later.

Bib: We will start with the top of the bib, fold over approximately 1/4″ and press, then fold over approximately 1″ and press, then sew.  Again I have sewn 2 rows of stitches.

The along each side of bib, fold over approximately 1/4″ press, and fold again and press. Then sew.

For the hem, repeat as per the top.
Then to finish of bib we have to do the slanted side pieces.  First we fold over 1/4″ and press and then fold over, then according to the width of your straps, mine were 3/4″ so I folded over 1″ (add on 1/4″ to the size of your straps), press and sew, 1 row of stitching.

Pocket:
Measure out where you want to place you pocket and centre. Sew, start at one edge and sew right round to other side, then sew down centre.

To finish off thread straps through side seams, start at bottom of one side, the down other side.

Finished:
