Mini Tissue Holder

You will need a sewing machine, thread, and fabric.

This is an easy project to do with scraps of fabric.

Firstly you will need two pieces of fabric

1 81/2 L “ x 6” W  lining
1 7” L x 6” W main fabric

I did end up making them slightly smaller by taking 1” of each length.

Cut out the 2 pieces of fabric.  You decide which piece you want as the main colour/pattern.

Put pieces right side together and using 1/4” seam allowance sew along short edge, back stitching at the beginning and end then match other two edges to gather and sew along 1/4” seam allowance.

Flip inside out and press flat.

Fold in half and finger crease down middle.

fold edge slightly over centre crease then fold other edge the same having an overlap of the two edges.

You can pin edges and then sew 1/4” seam allowance, back stitching at beginning, over centre part and end.

If you have a zig zag stitch, pinking shears or an overlocker you can tidy up the edges.

Turn inside out pushing out corners and press.

That’s it finish

This makes a great gift.
