What to Expect

The First Appointment

In your first appointment we will perform an initial consultation, pin the dress and advice of approximate costs. Please bring the underwear you intend to wear on your wedding day to your first and subsequent fittings; the correct bra is essential as the dress will be fitted around it.  Shoes should also be brought if the dress needs to be hemmed.  

The Fittings

The number of fittings required will depend on the complexity of the changes to the dress. In between your fittings is where the magic happens. Only once you are completely in love with your perfectly altered dress will you take it home with you. 

The Magic

Our seamstresses truly are magicians and can do just about anything with a dress. This can include-

  • Taking it in on the sides or back
  • Reshaping the train
  • Lifting strap and shoulders
  • Adding or removing straps
  • Creating bust cups 
  • Creating or removing sleeves
  • Changing neckline
  • Adding beading or other embellishments to your dress
